The domestic violence and sexual abuse program of the Jewish Family Service of Clifton-Passaic (JFS), Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships At Home), serves New Jersey’s Jewish population in general and the Orthodox Jewish population in particular in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. Project S.A.R.A.H. provides counseling for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse as well as vocational training, pro bono legal consultations, material assistance and case management. Project S.A.R.A.H. also engages in outreach to the community by running educational and prevention programs for teachers, students, summer campers and counselors, parents, rabbis, Mikvah attendants, hairdressers and the general public. Safety Kid, now in its fifth year is a crucial part of our educational prevention programs.
